Fun & Easy Things To Make With Kids At Home

Need some easy fun things to do with the kids?  With everyone having to stay at home right now, simple creative things to keep busy (and keep your sanity) are needed at this crazy time.

I've rounded up some of our family's favorite make-your-own-fun ideas that are easy to do and use items found in most homes.

Fun Things To Make:

A little white glue, liquid starch & food coloring is all it takes to make some super fun 

DIY Silly Putty

Turn everyday items into awesome treasure hunts thanks to used coffee grounds in this DIY Treasure Stones recipe.

 

Grab some acrylic coat paints and get artistic with this Soap painting tutorial.  Added bonus is the kids can use what they made to clean their hands later on:

Staying Positive with the Craftastic Monday Link Party

It's been a weird week.  With all the Covid-19 concerns worldwide, life has taken a surreal turn, hasn't it?  With some health issues with our newborn, cold weather and being homeschoolers, we've been holed up at home for a number of weeks already, so it now feels like the rest of the world is doing the same.  

While the seriousness of what's going on is a big reality, it's important to find positive things to focus on, ways to decompress and to not feel stir crazy with more time at home.  I think lovely crafts and connecting to others digitally is a great way to do that.  When possible, I plan to do some special posts & round-ups with uplifting projects (and handy things to keep the kids busy too) to help weather this viral storm.

St. Patrick's Day Craft Supplies Giveaway!
