My Like A Dream Reversible Wrap Jacket in Stitch Magazine

This pillowy soft wrap jacket is perfect for the boudoir and chilly days & nights. Wear over pajamas, use as a robe or as a toasty top layer with leggings or lounge pants.  It's like wearing cuddly throw, but still having a stylish outfit on!  By using plush Cuddle fabrics, it's ultra luxurious and comfortable - the feel is cloud soft.  This is my go-to wearable for winter's chilly days.  

I used this dreamy Embossed Paisley Cuddle by Shannon Fabrics for mine.

The jacket is fully reversible, and has the option to wear with the hood up for an ultra-snuggly effect or folded down as a cozy cowl.  

It also has side pockets (inside & out) and an easy to wear cross-front design to work with a variety of body shapes.  My 5'0" petite self wore the one shown, as did the magazine model and my very obliging, not slightly built, 5'9" husband, plus several other women of varying size, so its one size really does fit just about everyone.

Baby Ice Skate Booties Giveaway & Stitch Modern Holidays Feature

With the days flying by this season I'm a little behind spreading the word on some things - like my latest published feature.  You can find me in the very first issue of the new Stitch Modern Holidays magazine with my Baby Ice Skate Booties pattern. Plus, I'm offering a chance for someone to win a finished pair of them right here!

These skate­-style booties are made from cuddly fleece and fully lined to be extra warm and soft. They feature whimsical stuffed plush blades and soft stitched­ on "lace­up" ties for a fun & realistic ice skate look.

Guess Who's In Stitch Magazine? My Fuzzy Hedgehog Duo.

I've been so excited about this for months, it's been hard to wait to share this - my Fuzzy Hedgehog Tote and Pillow patterns are in the Fall 2012 issue of Stitch Magazine!

I came up with this design as a special item for my daughter's birthday last year.  Some of you may remember this hot pink hedgie pillow from the post I did of her cupcake party pics:

I did a little redesigning to create a fun, fleece tote bag project for the School Days section in this new issue of Stitch:

They asked me to do the original pillow style too, so both versions of the hedgehog are included:

And besides being in the issue on newsstands, the pattern itself is available as a free download (the instructions are all in the magazine).  Digital versions of the entire issue are available here.  There are loads of fun projects & wearables in it.

I have to say, I kind of feel like a sewing rock star when I walk past the magazine section at Joann's these days.  I get to see this and the summer issue of Quilts & More (which features my Fresh Start bag) sitting right out there.  This must be how celebrities feel when they're in the check-out line.  Except no one else knows it's me...but it still feels great.  I almost had my husband take a picture of me standing there and pointing to them like a crazy, but I'm saving up that level of crazy for next time.  No matter what, it always feels amazing to see my name in print next to the words "Designed By":)
