I found some resin mustache flat backs and knew I had to make something fun with them. And what's more fun or easy than some sassy mustachio barrettes for a little miss? Here's how to make 'em:
- Ultra Firm Stabilizer (this holds the crisp, outlined shape nicely)
- Metal Barrettes
- Hot Glue Gun
- Embroidery Floss & Needle
- Flat back resin mustaches (found in the scrapbook section of Hobby Lobby)
- Paper, pencil & scissors
Draw an outline of a mustache on paper to the size desired & cut out. I wanted mine to echo the handlebar style of the resin pieces so I followed that shape, but bigger. Use the pattern to cut the felt and stabilizer. Also cut two felt rectangles that fit inside the barrettes and are slightly wider.
Next place hot glue on the back of the flat back mustache and press onto center of felt:
I'm also sharing this with my FAVE LINK PARTIES.
