Come Share Your Crafts at the Craftastic Monday Link Party

Welcome to the Craftastic Monday Link Party!  Are you crafting up new things?  Needing inspiration?  Or just need to look at some lovely things to get your week off to a good start? Then you've come to the right place!

Last week I shared some not-so-great news in my post, My Work Got Stolen.  While it's something I wish hadn't happened, hopefully sharing it will help others in protecting their work.

Now let's see some Craftastic picks..

Simply Darrling created this striking globe decoration for her little one's travel-themed nursery.  LOVE it!

One Little Project shared how to make this pretty flower ring from duck tape (hers even glows in the dark!):

Ruffles and Rifles made this lovely top using old curtains. Resourceful and beautiful!

Growing Up Gabel had this easy & quick hot chocolate on a stick idea:

Check out this cool light-up winter decoration from Howling At The Moon.  I love how it's just made from basic paper, but looks so fancy:

And Creative Chaos showed how she used turmeric to naturally dye these beautiful shades of yellow:

If you're one of this week's features, be sure to grab my Featured On button over on my Buttons Page to share the good news.

 Want to be Featured?
Remember to link back to the party somewhere - I can't feature your project if you don't share the party some way.

I also feature these projects on Sew Can Do's Craftastic Picks Pinterest board
AND share each of them on Twitter too for even MORE exposure!

Follow me there to see more great projects (and see if yours is one of them)!

Ready to link up your crafty creations?

Party rules are simple:
  • As long as it's crafty, and made by you, it's Craftastic (no links to giveaways, shops, link parties or other people's work).  Add the link to your specific post (not the main page of your blog).  Product reviews, plagiarized or sponsored posts for random items will be immediately deleted.
  • Grab my party button & put it on your post or blog somewhere.  Party pages are fine.  If you want the chance to be featured, this is key.  The button code can be found HERE.
  • Check out some of the other fabulous links and share some crafty comment love.  We all love getting comments!!

Remember to party at the Craftastic Facebook Mixer Too!

It's FREE advertising for YOUR site/Facebook page - INCLUDING SHOPS  and a way to easily discover new sites to love at the same time.  It takes just seconds and gives you a chance to get more page likes & followers. You can crafty giveaways there too!

How It Works:
Head over to the Craftastic Mixer post on Sew Can Do's FB page.  Instead of a specific post, share your main blog, crafty shop or Facebook page link in the comments there.  It means even more exposure for your crafty site every week!  Click HERE to go link up now!

  4. Cheryl, first off, thank you for my lace curtain top feature! And thank you for hosting the party. 😊

Secondly, I am so sorry to hear your creation and photos were stolen. That is so disheartening, pit in your stomach discouraging to say the least. I've been well aware of the risk. I have many posts sitting in my queue, which I honestly I'm hesitant to post for that very reason. They're original designs and it's so disheartening to have to be so protective rather than celebratory of your work. I once did some original apron designs out of old wedding dresses a dress shop owner had me do. But when I completed them, she wouldn't let me put my name anywhere around them because they were her old dresses. I was sick. I had poured so many hours, and my heart and soul into making the most beautiful original designs. That's the thing with creating, it's not just something we buy at the store because we like it, it's something we pour part of ourselves into. It's not just a thing that was stolen, but a part of you.

Can I encourage you not to give up? You're a gifted seamstress, crafter, designer. And sure, you may have to tweak the way you do and present things, there is wisdom to be gained (and I need that so much). Keep doing what brings you joy, maybe by it you will overcome the evil with good. Cheryl - www.rufflesandrifles.com

    1. Thanks so much Cheryl. And you're right that we shouldn't give up. I've got a few ideas on what to do differently so I don't have to just quit posting what I love to make. Hearing from so many others has been encouraging. We small designers and creators need to stick together:)
