Celebrate National Sewing Month With Seamingly Smitten Patterns

It's officially Fall my friends, AND National Sewing Month, so it's the season for sewing up something new to wear.  Today I've got a few patterns to share that are a great fit with this special time.
All about layering?  The Draped Cardigan pattern is ideal for this changeable weather.  This top takes about an hour and is designed for stretch knits.  Pair it with your favorite t-shirts and tanks so they'll be wearable through the Fall.

It's got options for short & long sleeves, 3 hem lengths and optional ruffle front - this pattern can make lots of different looks.

Looking for outerwear options?  The women's Esplanade Coat Pattern, has a raglan sleeve with large fold-back collar, options for inseam pockets and choice of single or double breasted styles.  You can also choose either facings or a full lining.  Wools, cords, wovens or fleeces all work well with this one.

This is a great way to be able to wear a busy or colorful prints that would normally be too much to as a top or skirt.  Wear it on the outside or go for more subtle.  As your lining it can peek out at the collar for a punch of color or print:

For the girls, there's the Cozy Hooded Cape pattern.  It'ss fully lined and works with loads of different fabrics to pair perfectly with any outfit for kid's 3 months to 10 years.  Flannel, fleece, corduroy, minky - the fabric possibilities are endless!  It's also an excellent first project for the new sewing enthusiast.

and to go with it, there's the versatile Lady Cakes Leggings Pattern.  It includes 3 length choices (including modesty shorts for under all those windy days wearing dresses & skirts) and a cute ruffle hem option too:
