Stylish Sippy In Seconds

Now that my daughter has reached the sippy cup phase, having the perfect cup is critical.  It's got to be easy to clean & not drip all over the place.  Of course the crafty part of me wants it to be unique and cute too.  I just can't leave well enough alone can I?   And did I mention it had to be cheap?  So I was in love when I found this cup.  I got it in my local Hobby Lobby for $5 in the section where they have all the "insert your own photo" items.  You just unscrew the clear sleeve part from the inner cup to put photos in.  But I decided to use pretty scrapbook paper instead.

It was beyond easy to trace the curved paper piece it came with and then cut out my own pretty paper inserts and slip them in.

So just tossing in a different paper makes a totally different look:

I love that the designs can be endless and it'll be easy to change it up for holidays, seasons, or (if I was really out of control), to match outfits.  And before I sound totally frivolous droning on about the "pretty" aspect of this cup, I'd like to mention it's also my new go-to cup because it's got a removable silicone leak-valve, is easy for her little hands to hold and the parts that touch the liquid are polypropylene (which means BPA-free).

I can't tell you how many times I've bought something for the cuteness that was a total bust on practicality.  What good is a beautiful cup that leaks if it's not perfectly still?  Or the overpriced, fancy "engineered" ones that have a dozen small parts you have to put back like a puzzle to work right?  This one's simple & stylish.  I'm SOLD!

Sharing this with my FAVE LINK PARTIES too so check them out HERE!

  3. I love that! Just may have to go grab a couple today to make some of my own. This is great for personalizing and since I've got 2 little ones, easy for them to tell them apart. Thanks for sharing :)

  6. Thanks Everyone! Craft Carolina Girl - you had no email address to reply to, so I hope you see this here.

Of course I threw out the original wrapper (doh!) & there's no number on the cup, but you want the 5oz acrylic no-spill photo sippy cup. I found some here as well: http://www.embroiderybobbins.com/product/embroidery-blank-babys-first-spillproof-sippy-cup-white-4133.cfm

  11. I've never seen these, wish they would have had them when my little ones were still in sippy cup stages, good thing my SIL is prego, lol.
I did something similar with my friends iphone, we used a clear case and trimmed scrapbooking paper to size and laid it in the case. Now she changes her look all the time. :)
