Introducing....CraftShare!

I've been working on the themed weeks idea I mentioned last week.  My goal is for us to be able to share our crafting experiences, have posts that are more of a dialogue between blogger & readers and expand our crafting horizons together.  So without further ado, the name for this crafting extravaganza is....CraftShare!

Starting in June, the themes will begin.  I'll share projects I've made in each topic category and give tips & tricks I've learned while working on them.  I'll also have some special guest posters sharing their expertise and projects to keep the ideas rolling.

I'd like the comments section to be a place for you to share what info you know, experiences you've had with the themes and post any questions you have too.   This way the comments will be like a great extra info section for each post.  I've also created a Flickr group for CraftShare, so everyone can share pics & find ideas on the themes we cover. And even if you haven't made something or are shy about getting started, maybe you've got a great idea for something that could be made with the themes presented, so go ahead, share it in the comments and inspire the rest of us!

Some of the themed topics I'm planning to cover are:

Unusual Fabric Products (laminated cotton, InsulBright, recycled PET fabric, Texture Magic)
Die-cutting Crafts (anything creative using a die cutting machine/punches)
Cake & Cookie Decorating (modeling chocolate, fondant)
Tasty Treats (hard candies, chocolates, misc. sweets)
Specialty Craft Paints (chalkboard, magnet, etc.)

I'm really excited about trying out these new crafts, but I need your help to make this themed info exchange idea a success!  I'm still looking for some awesome crafters who would be interested in guest posting or being featured on the topics above. If you'd be willing to share what you know or make your blog a part of CraftShare, just shoot me an email and we'll work out the details.  Once everything is set, I'll announce the week schedule of themes so we can have CraftShare up & running soon.

Here's the official button to start spreading the word!

  1. This sounds like so much fun. I have zero skills in all the topics listed, so I'm looking forward to learning from everyone else! (Would love to guest post one day, but will have to wait for future topics, and work out what skills I actually have!)
